TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for Venezuela on Tuesday to attend the Non-Aligned Movement meeting before the arrival of heads of state.

He is accompanied by deputies Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi.

Foreign ministers of the NAM states are expected to hold a meeting on September 15 and 16.

President Hassan Rouhani also plans to attend the NAM heads of state summit on September 16 to hand over the NAM presidency to Venezuela as the host country.
